Lean Learning is a learning consulting practice. We help organizations of any kind work out what their people need to learn, design the curriculum and experiences to teach it, and measure whether it works.
Every engagement is scoped to your team's learning challenge, from a single learning experience diagnostic to a full global program build, wherever your team is based. Pricing is quoted per project, not off a rate card.
Technology keeps changing. Human talent is still what makes it work.
Client and company names are kept general to respect confidentiality agreements. Happy to speak to specifics in a conversation.
A 12-hour instructor-led technical training program had strong content but a low first-time pass rate and a growing backlog of learners waiting for sessions.
Redesigned the program into self-paced interactive modules paired with a shortened, focused instructor-led session, then added a competency-based evaluation to replace time-based completion.
Training time cut from 12 hours to 4. Graduation rates rose from 60% to 94%, with a 93% first-pass rate, and the redesigned program rolled out across multiple regional training sites.
A global AI operations organization needed a structured way to build process-improvement skills across a large, fast-moving workforce spread across regions worldwide, with no standardized certification path in place.
Designed and launched a tiered Lean Six Sigma curriculum starting with White and Yellow Belt certifications, building the projects, deliverables, and certification requirements from the ground up, with a Green Belt tier now in development.
Launched across 10+ locales worldwide, giving fast-moving AI operations teams a shared framework and common language for continuous improvement.
Learners needed to practice high-stakes, judgment-based decisions that couldn't be safely or repeatedly practiced on the job.
Built a branching scenario with consequence-based paths, letting learners make real decisions, see the outcomes play out, and try again.
Measurable improvement in on-the-job decision-making and stronger transfer of training into daily tasks, adopted by teams across multiple regions.
A creative thinking and writing skill set needed to be taught in a way that felt engaging rather than academic.
Designed a story-book style learning path with a token-earning system and progressively unlocked chapters, tying each exercise to a real-world application.
Increased engagement and stronger day-to-day application of creative writing skills, extended to teams across multiple regions.
Dense technical content was hard to make engaging through traditional instruction.
Converted core concepts into a "learn-then-organize" interactive activity and a game-style review mechanic, prioritizing hands-on practice over passive reading.
Significantly higher completion and stronger technical skill acquisition, with improved learner satisfaction scores across technical teams in multiple regions.
A fast-growing cross-skill training program needed to certify employees consistently across multiple job skills and locales around the globe, but quality varied significantly by region and reviewer.
Standardized the modules with built-in pre- and post-assessments, translated and adapted content for multiple locales, and added quality verification checkpoints before any module could go live.
Training effectiveness scores rose from 85% to 94%, with consistent quality across every region running the program worldwide.
"Consistently delivers high-quality work ahead of schedule, which let our development team start building early and kept the whole launch on track."
"Dives deep to make sure every part of the training holds up for both the business and the people actually taking it, even when we're moving fast."
"Sets stakeholders up to succeed: explains the process clearly, shares updates early, and gives us time to prepare for what's coming."
Lean Learning was founded by Olga Castillo, a Learning Experience Designer and Program Manager who blends an engineer's eye for process with a designer's instinct for how people actually learn.
Olga's path started in Industrial Engineering, standardizing high-volume production workflows to cut waste and errors. A Master's in Instructional Design & Technology, plus years leading learning programs for global technology and AI teams, brought the second half of that skill set: designing training programs that hold learners' attention from start to finish, instead of losing them halfway through.
Continuous improvement and Lean thinking get talked about as pure process work, but the real lever is always people: making sure they understand the why, not just the steps, and have the training to carry it forward. That mix, engineering discipline paired with instructional design expertise, is the standard Lean Learning is built on. As it grows, that same standard extends to every designer, writer, and consultant who joins the team.
